Kolten Care’s Organizer Receives Youth Appreciation Award from Everest Optimists
The organizer of a family golf outing to benefit the Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital’s is the recipient of the 2011 Youth Appreciation Award from the Everest Optimist Club.
Two years ago, Kolten Craft decided to turn his annual birthday event into a fundraiser to support patients in need at Ministry Saint Clare’s where his mom, Krista, works as a case manager.
The second “Kolten Care’s” golf outing, held in August at Indianhead Golf Course in Mosinee, raised nearly $6,000, bringing the two year total of funds raised to just shy of $10,000.
“The dedication of Kolten and his family to this event is amazing,” said Ministry Saint Clare’s President, Mary Krueger. “We are also grateful to those who took the time to participate and support this event for this important fund for patients in need.”
It’s the second year in a row that Kolten has been recognized for his efforts to support the Foundation of Ministry Saint Clare’s. Last year, he was named one of three Outstanding Citizens of the Year by the South Area Business Association (SABA).
