The Heart Care Team of Marshfield Clinic and Ministry Health Care will provide two free CPR Anytime training sessions on Wednesday, February 24 at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston.
These sessions will be held at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. in the Saint Clare’s Hospital Conference Center. While there is no charge for the program, advanced registration is requested by calling 888-735-7189. Participants should use parking lot and entrance #3 on the campus of the Weston Regional Medical Center to access the program.
The CPR Anytime training session will be led by certified CPR trainers from the Marshfield Clinic and Ministry Health Care Heart Care Team. As a part of the program, each participant will receive a CPR Anytime Kit and be encouraged to bring the kit home to help train their friends and families.
Each CPR Anytime Kit contains a training DVD and a manikin, which inflates to practice ventilation and compression techniques that are part of performing CPR. “While this is not a certified CPR training course, the person who receives the CPR Anytime kit can continue to review and practice those techniques at home as well as share the kit with family members,” said Liz Sherwood, Marshfield Clinic CPR instructor.
