Mosinee Lions Club Brightens Holidays for Pediatric Patients at Saint Clare's Hospital in Weston

Members of the Mosinee Lions club once again made the holiday season a bit brighter for pediatric patients at Ministry Health Care’s Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston.

For the third straight year, club members have used a portion of the proceeds from their fundraisers to purchase stuffed animals as a part of their “Hugs for You” program.

“We hope this effort once again lifts the spirits of those who were hospitalized or visit the emergency department over the holiday season and beyond,” said Monica Suroviak, Mosinee Lions Club Treasurer.

Club members raise funds through a fundraiser in November and a Pancake Breakfast in the spring. Proceeds are split between several Lions initiatives and the Hugs for You program.

“We are grateful to the Mosinee Lions to include us in their efforts to provide this thoughtful benefit to our smallest patients and their families,” said Matt Ruppert, director of the Foundation of Saint Clare’s Hospital.
