NURSE PRACTITIONER JOINS EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT SAINT CLARE’S HOSPITAL IN WESTON

Ministry Health Care is pleased to welcome Family Nurse Practitioner Cynthia Verfuerth to the staff of the Emergency Services Department of Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston.

Verfuerth joins a specially trained team of emergency medicine physicians, nurses, paramedics and support staff who provide 24-hour access to critical care for patients requiring treatment from bumps and bruises to major trauma.

Verfuerth earned her nursing degree and completed a master’s degree with emphasis as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire.She spent seven years as a registered nurse at Ministry Health Care’s Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield followed by more than eight years at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield before joining the Emergency Department of Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids in 20007.Verfuerth is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, The American Nurses Association and the Wisconsin Nurses Association.

“I believe in partnering with patients and providing resources so they can better understand how to help themselves improve their health,” said Verfuerth.

In her spare time, Verfuerth enjoys spending time on her hobby farm along with biking, sewing, crafts and gardening.

The newest member of the Ministry Health Care system sponsored by the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother, Saint Clare’s Hospital is a 110-bed all-digital provider of quality, compassionate care in central Wisconsin offering a wide range of primary and specialty care.
