Congratulations to the Long Term Care Team and supporting departments, for earning Medicare’s five star rating! We know we have committed associates and quality systems in place, and now everyone else can know it as well!
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers compare nursing homes by featuring a quality rating system that gives each nursing home a score of between one and five stars. Nursing homes with five stars are considered to have much above average quality. Nursing home ratings are determined by health inspections, staffing and quality measures. A star rating is provided for each of these three areas and then they are combined to create an overall score.
