Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa Hosted Charity Poker Tournament to benefit the Foundation of Saint Joseph’s

On Saturday, September 30 Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa joined local celebrities to host the 2nd Annual Pulse Pounding Poker Tournament to benefit the Foundation of Saint Joseph’s Hospital.  $2,040 in proceeds from this year’s Texas Hold’em Tournament were donated to Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital’s Cardiac and Diabetes Funds.

The annual charity tournament is held in memory of Kevin Abbott, a former Table Games employee of Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa.  Kevin had undergone multiple heart bypass surgeries and in August 2010, passed away due to heart failure.  Ho-Chunk Nekoosa is planning on continuing this annual tournament in Kevin’s name the last Saturday and Sunday in September.

Among the celebrity guests that played in the tournament were DJs Brad Austin (Thunder 94.5), Panama Jack (WOW Country) and Nikki Montgomery (WDEZ).
