Robin Kretschman, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, has joined Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield as Vice president of Patient Care Services.
She comes to Marshfield from Mercy in St. Louis, Mo., where she served in a system role as Vice President, Nursing Excellence. Prior to that, she had a progressive leadership career at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in Tallahassee, Fla., including Executive Director, Nursing Practice, Director of Professional Nursing Practice and Magnet Coordinator.
She received her Master’s in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Florida State University. She is Nursing Executive Advanced-Board Certified, and was previously certified in Adult Critical Care and Hospice and Palliative Nursing. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, from George Washington University.
Her faculty appointments have included Arizona State University College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation Adjunct Faculty, and Florida State University College of Nursing Courtesy Faculty.
Kretschman has past ties to Wisconsin, having spent some of her childhood years in Spooner and Shell Lake. She was attracted to Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in part because it is a large academic medical center, associated with Marshfield Clinic, and located in a rural area. She also was impressed with its quality of health care and the many awards and accomplishments, as well as its mission based on the healing ministry of Jesus.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and playing piano, sailing with her husband, and taking their annual trip to the Florida Keys to dive for lobster.
As Vice President of Patient Care, she is responsible for all nursing units, Ministry Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Perioperative Services, the Emergency Department and Trauma Services.
