Nurse Receives Daisy Award
Jeff Riddle, a RN on the Oncology Unit at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, is the latest registered nurse at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital to receive the DAISY award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award is given monthly nurses who consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. They are recognized as outstanding role models in the hospital’s nursing community.
Jeff received his registered nurse degree in 2010 from Luther College and began working at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in October of 2011, always on the Oncology Unit. He was nominated by a recent patient who spent three days on the unit and said she received excellent care, in particular from Jeff.
“Jeff is an excellent nurse who is attentive and caring. He has a very friendly personality and a positive attitude which certainly helps when one is in the hospital,” the nomination said. “Jeff is one of the key reasons I would recommend Saint Joseph’s Hospital to others. Thank you for providing outstanding care to me.”
