Polar Bear Jump for Kids to benefit Children’s Miracle Network

For the 16th year, The Lure Bar Grill in Nekoosa will sponsor a Polar Bear Jump to benefit Children's Miracle Network (CMN).

Since the first jumper dove into freezing waters on January 1, in 1998, participants have raised nearly $165,000 to help sick and injured children in Wood, Adams, Portage and 14 other counties right here in north central Wisconsin.

Plan to kick off your New Year at 1 p.m. January 1, in the freezing waters of Lake Petenwell, while trying your chances at winning prizes like the new Mini iPad. Participants must raise a minimum of $25 to jump and $75 to receive a T-shirt; those raising $100 or more through advanced pledges will receive a CMN beach towel.

There also will be hot tubs on site, generously provided by The Pool People.

For more information or to register, call The Lure Bar Grill at 715-325-6555 or the CMN office at 800-428-5000 or visit www.cmnwi.org.
