Saint Michael’s Foundation
The daily reality of having to choose between feeding your family or purchasing your prescription medication has become an urgent need in our community.
The Medication Assistance Program (MAP) of Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital and Ministry Medical Group provides emergency assistance to patients who are unable to afford basic medications, medical supplies and health insurance co-payments. Ninety-six percent of MAP patients are Portage County residents. These patients, our neighbors, are faced with the difficult decision of supporting a family and purchasing much needed medications for their healing process.
Funding for the MAP’s Medication Cost Relief Program has recently been more difficult to acquire, and the program is in the unfortunate position of denying help to patients in need. Financial support for the Medication Cost Relief Program is solely through grants, including support from Saint Michael’s Foundation, and charitable donations.
You can help today with two immediate goals:
1) Not to deny any patient in need of medicaiton assistance
2) To raise $25,000 to sustain the program for the near future.
Help get necessary medication in the hands of patients who otherwise could not afford it by supporting the Medication Assistance Program through a charitable donation to Saint Michael’s Foundation. Interested donors can call 715-343-3259 or make a gift online at here. A gift of $125 can directly impact the lives of two patients – all gifts help.
