Grant Application Process
Saint Michael’s Foundation accepts grant applications six times a year to support programs and services that enhance the quality of health care services for the patients and families served by Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Dental Center, Ministry Behavioral Health and Ministry Home Care. Capital grants for departments within Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Dental Center, Ministry Behavioral Health and Ministry Home Care are also considered during these grant cycles.
Each grant application will be reviewed by the Saint Michael’s Foundation Allocations Committee and ratified by the Saint Michael’s Foundation Board of Directors
Grant Eligibility
Any department or program within Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Dental Center, Ministry Behavioral Health and Ministry Home Care is eligible to apply.
External organizations may also be considered for funding; however, all external organizations must show a direct relationship between their program or service and how it will enhance the health care of the patients and families served by Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Dental Center, Ministry Behavioral Health and/or Ministry Home Care.
Grant Criteria
Funded projects will:
- Support the Mission of Saint Michael’s Foundation
- Strengthen and enhance the quality of health care services for the patients and families served by Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Dental Center, Ministry Behavioral Health and/or Ministry Home Care
- Use innovative approaches to address health care issues
- Include meaningful, reasonable, and measurable outcomes
- Have a long-term impact on the patients and families served by Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Dental Center, Ministry Behavioral Health and/or Ministry Home Care
Saint Michael’s Foundation does not generally fund:
- Financial support to individuals
- Contributions to annual fund drives
- Contributions to endowment funds
- Contributions to capital campaigns outside of Ministry Health Care
Types of Grants Funded
Program Grants:
Program grants support new programs or expansion of existing programs that impact the patients and families served by Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Dental Center, Ministry Behavioral Health and/or Ministry Home Care.
Capital Grants:
Capital grants support the construction, purchase and renovation of facilities and the purchase of equipment for departments within Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, Ministry Dental Center, Ministry Behavioral Health and/or Ministry Home Care.
