Support Ministry Dental Center

Ministry Dental Center was established in 2002 to address the needs of central Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare recipients who seek quality professional dental care.  Ministry Dental Center is a not-for-profit partnership that advocates the right to efficient, effective, and accessible dental care services.   While the founding partners play a significant role in funding Ministry Dental Center, substantial support from everyone in our community is required to ensure its viability, strength, and continued mission of serving the poor.

Every Ministry Dental Center staff member demonstrates quality, compassionate and respectful care.  Integrating oral health education is an important objective for every visit.  Patients are instructed on the importance of daily oral hygiene habits, use of fluoride, frequency of dental cleanings, and the effectiveness of sealants, in an effort to reduce oral diseases and keep natural teeth longer and healthier.

Addressing the dental needs of children in this at-risk population offers a long-term solution to a growing epidemic; a cycle of oral neglect resulting from lack of adequate oral health care.  The staff of Ministry Dental Center understands that teaching children healthy oral habits at an early age ensures they are less likely to experience serious dental complications as they grow older, and that they will be more likely to pass on oral health education to their own children.

Increasing Medicaid and BadgerCare eligible individuals coupled with decreasing reimbursement rates has created an alarming crisis that is now more prevalent in our own communities.  Because Ministry Dental Center serves only the Medicaid and BadgerCare population, the average loss per patient visit is over $100 due to low reimbursement rates.  Ministry Dental Center survives because of contributions from donors like you.

Your generosity will put a smile on the faces of those who receive the outstanding care provided at Ministry Dental Center, and at the same time will put a smile on your face, knowing that you have helped to improve the health and well-being of someone in need.
