Ministry Sports Medicine donates to local school athletic departments
Another season of WIAA sports physicals is in the books for Ministry Sports Medicine, Ministry Health Care.
Each year, Ministry Sports Medicine provides pre-participation sports physicals in the months of June, July and August for students entering grades 6 – 11. This year $1,240 was shared with the athletic departments of seven area schools whose students took part in the program.
We hope this provides a valuable service to area student athletes,” said Dennis Kaster, Ministry Sports Medicine. “We are happy to donate a portion of our time to help cover expenses to be able give back to the athlete’s respective schools.”
Schools that received donations from the 2013 Ministry Sports Medicine Sports Physical program include: SPASH, PJ Jacobs, Ben Franklin, Almond-Bancroft, Amherst, and TriCounty Area School District.
The physicals meet school and WIAA requirements, but are not intended to replace regular check-ups with a child’s physician.
