Strength training camp specifically designed for youth
Ministry Point Sports Medicine introduces a youth strength training program exclusively designed for youth athletes. Held Mondays and Wednesdays starting September 17 through October 31, 4 –5 pm, at the Stevens Point Area YMCA. YMCA Members $40, General Public $55.
Specifically targeted for youth athletes ages 8-12, this seven week program uses a fun, creative and integrated approach to introduce young athletes to basic strength training, focusing on age-appropriate lifting techniques and fundamentals.
Camp goals include; band training and barbell lifting designed specifically for young athletes, instruction of safe and proper lifting techniques, confidence and self esteem building without the pressure of an intense weight room atmosphere, and to provide young athletes with a high energy, motivating workout area.
