(Stevens Point, WI) – Ministry Health Care is sponsoring pre-participation sports screenings for a $25 fee, check or cash, due at the time of the screening. Twenty dollars of the fee will be donated to the athletic department of the school which the athlete attends.
Screenings are open to any athletes attending junior high or high school (grades 6-12). Screenings meet all WIAA requirements. The green WIAA card and history form will need to be filled out prior to the screening. Parents need to be present for any athletes under 18. This screening is not meant to take the place of an in-depth physical.
Any athletes with specific health concerns such as asthma, ADHD, heart disease, or diabetes should see their regular health care provider for proper health and medication management.
Screenings are held at the following days and locations: Tuesday, July 21, 5:30 – 8 p.m., SPASH High School, 1201 North Point Drive; Tuesday, August 4, 5:30 – 8 p.m., Ministry Medical Group, 2401 Plover Road.
