A Night of Scrapbooking for Cancer

(Rhinelander, WI) The Fourth Annual Scrap-Out Cancer Event is taking place Friday, October 12 from 5-9 p.m. at Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander.

This fun event brings people together to scrapbook and raise awareness of maintaining women’s health and treating breast cancer. Join staff from the James Beck Cancer Center and others for this FREE fun-filled evening of scrapbooking, card making, and education.
Bring your own projects, tools and papers. We’ll have a cozy set up with plenty of tables around the fireplace, overlooking the wooded area and pond at Ministry Saint Mary’s.  Scrapbooking tips and techniques will be demonstrated and shared with participants.

Throughout the night, we’ll provide you with important information on women’s health tips, with a focus on genetics and women’s cancer risk, including a risk assessment quiz for you to take.  Door prizes will be given away approximately every 20 minutes, and all registered attendees will receive a goody bag.

We are featuring guest speaker, Linda A. Jerzak, APNP, who will discuss the topic of Genetics and Women’s cancer risks. Linda specializes in family practice including pediatric care, well child care, immunizations, treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, adult care, preventative care, physical exams and chronic disease management at Ministry Medical Group-Rhinelander. She also provides the full range of women’s health and wellness services. Health promotion and illness prevention through patient education is a major focus for her.

Linda is certified by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialists. She is also certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a family nurse practitioner.

Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m.  Arrive anytime between 4:30 and 5 p.m. to settle in and start working on your card-making or scrapbooking projects.  After the speaker, we will provide beverages, sandwiches and snacks throughout the night while you scrapbook and have fun with other attendees.
