Fifth Annual Scrap-Out Cancer Scheduled for October 25
(RHINELANDER, WI) – The fifth annual Scrap-Out Cancer Event is taking place Friday, October 25, from 5-9 p.m. at Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. This fun event brings people together to scrapbook and raise awareness of maintaining women’s health and treating breast cancer.
Join staff from the James Beck Cancer Center and others for this FREE fun-filled evening of scrapbooking, card-making, and education. Bring your own projects, tools and papers. We’ll have a cozy set-up with plenty of tables around the fireplace, overlooking the wooded area and pond at Ministry Saint Mary’s. Scrapbooking tips and techniques will be demonstrated and shared with participants.
Throughout the night, we’ll provide you with important information on women’s health tips, with a focus on genetics and women’s cancer risk, including a risk assessment quiz for you to take. Door prizes will be given away approximately every 20 minutes, and all registered attendees will receive a goody bag.
Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m. Arrive anytime between 4:30 and 5 p.m. to settle in and start working on your card-making or scrapbooking projects. After the speaker, we will provide beverages, sandwiches and snacks throughout the night while you scrapbook and have fun with other attendees.
