Ministry Heath Care is proud to announce the first baby of the New Year at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander was born at 4:35 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2010 to Amie Hasserodt and Troy Schoone of Tomahawk. Mathew Joseph Schoone weighed in at 10 pounds 4.4 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. Mathew's mother, Amie Hasserodt, says she's enjoying being a mom, "It's my first child, and it's unexplainable, it's absolutely wonderful to have a baby." Hasserodt says Matthew looks a lot like his dad, Troy.
On Monday, January 4 the Saint Mary’s Hospital Volunteers presented Mathew and his proud parents gifts before they were discharged.
