The American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days® program will be selling flowers at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander on Tuesday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. One of the first flowers of spring, the daffodil has come to symbolize hope for cancer patients and their loves ones for renewed life and a world free from cancer.
New this year, orders are being taken for Gift of Hope bouquets to be delivered anonymously to cancer patients visiting the James Beck Cancer Center on Tuesday, March 16. The Gift of Hope is a beautiful bouquet of daffodils set in a vase and costs $25. To date, 19 Gift of Hopes orders have been received. There are a total of 45 patients receiving treatment on March 16, the James Beck Cancer Center would like to present each patient the first flower of spring and the gift of hope. Please consider this opportunity to brighten the day for a patient currently battling cancer.
As one of the Society’s oldest and most beloved fundraising programs, Daffodil Days provides everyone with the opportunity to join the fight against cancer by raising funds and sharing hope for a future where the disease no longer threatens those we love. Daffodils offer a great way to recognize and thank fellow employees for exceptional work, show appreciation to clients for their business, and decorate and brighten offices, waiting rooms, common areas, etc.
