Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation
History of the Foundation
In 1979, the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother identified a growing need for health care services for underserved members of northern Wisconsin communities. They addressed these needs with a vision of supporting health care needs at the hospital and in the community. With the help of community leaders that vision became the Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation.
Today, over 25 years later, the Foundation continues to play a vital role in ensuring that the health care needs of our communities are met completely. Generous contributions and support from donors enables the Foundation to help fund programs such as Family Resources Connection, the James Beck Cancer Center, Springer Health Access Program and more.
Other programs supported by the Foundation include Family Resource Connection, Palliative Care Coordination, Home Health and Hospice (Ministry Home Care) and Dental Sealout Program.
