Laurie Kostka, APNP, is a board certified adult, geriatric and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She cares for adolescents and adults, providing preventive and comprehensive care of common illnesses. She also cares for geriatric residents at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Her special interests are geriatrics, dementia, mental health and providing patient education. Laurie received her Master of Science degree, completed postgraduate study as an adult/geriatric nurse practitioner and adult psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from the Graduate School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She is a member of SIgma Theta Tau, National Honor Society for Nursing, and The American Nurses Association. She is an American Heart Association basic life support instructor, Boy Scout leader/merit badge counselor, an active volunteer for church and school activities and a sponsor for foreign exchange students. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, such as gardening and fishing, and loves cooking, baking, traveling, and music.
