Paul Samundsen, MD is an experienced family medicine physician who can take care of all your family’s health needs from your brand new infant to your aging grandparents. This includes preventive health care as well as taking care of medical conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, allergies, thyroid disease, and routine gynecology. He can also help patients with behavioral issues such as depression and ADHD. Paul has struggled with weight issues on and off throughout his life and is sensitive to the medical needs and care of overweight patients and weight management. He enjoys working with athletics and injuries, and as a former U.S. Army physician has a special interest in the health needs of veterans.
Paul received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He completed his family practice residency at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Paul’s undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering is from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
When he’s not taking care of patients, Paul enjoys sports and spending time with his wife, Tricia, and their sons Patrick, Andrew and Mikey. He likes living in the country, the comfort of small towns, and not sitting in traffic.
